MULE DAY 2010

Saturday we took a trip to Columbia, Tn. to Mule Day. The weather was perfect. The parade started at 11:00 am and we always eat at Hardee's which is near the end of the parade route. We had just barely finished our thickburger combo when the parade came in front of Hardees.
Wagons, buggies, coaches, hearse pulled by mules or horses. This year we saw some funny vehicles we hadn't seem before in the parade lineup. Riders on mules and horses were abundant.
Several of my friends on Multiply went along for the trip. Yes, Wade went and sure spiced up our day with his antics. I knew the day would be fun with him in attendance. He sure lived up to his reputation. We all got a laugh at his expense when he wasn't watching where he was walking. He sure ruined his new balance tennis shoes.
The farmers daughter was there with us. She watched where she stepped and kept her sandals clean. She was seen flirting with an old man driving a team of mules at the end of the parade. We don't know what happen to her as we didn't see her the rest of the day.
Mia Delight was there all the way from New Zealand. She was amazed at all the different activities that were taking place on the show grounds. Plenty of good food, crafts, music and games. I can't believe she talked a guy into letting her ride his mule. All you could see was a cloud of dust.
Silentone was there in her big rig truck. She was working and hired to haul the world's tallest mule back to Ohio. I saw this mule and you would need a step ladder to get on him. He was over 20 hands tall.

  1. You could have said something before I stepped in that mule muffin Nicko. I was looking through the camera lenz for a great shot of some giant mule and plopped right in a fresh one. I didn't appreciate you pointing and laughing ................... Sure glad I was riding in your truck on the way home and not in mine!

  3. Thanks so much for the mention, I would rather haul the 20 hand tall mule, than a load of what Wade walked in.
