Entry for April 22, 2007 MISS LINDSEY..!!

Yesterday was a big day for the Burtons, our youngest grandaughter was in her first beauty pagent. Our other four grand-girls were always into sports, softball, basketball, four wheelers, go carts, riding horses and never entered into pagents. Lindsey is all daddy's girl and we thought a tomboy because she likes to do everything with her dad. We were caught off guard when she called friday night and invited us to come see her at the Pagent. I must say my wife and I were shocked at Miss Lindsey! Off we go to see those little girls in their gowns with those amazing hair do's . All different age groups are competing for Queen of their class. All girls get a sash and little crown but the one chosen as Queen gets the bigger crown.
Lindsey's class is the 10 year olds and finally we get to see her in a long blue gown with that big girl hairdo. Wow, we now see a new Lindsey. Her class has 8 other little girls and we wait for the results of the judges. Our Lindsey is choosen first runner up to the Queen!! Of course we thought she should have WON!! She was very happy to be first runner up. Thanks to my neice, Natlie for all she did to get Lindsey ready for this big event.
