Entry for October 23, 2006 HOT AS A PISTOL!!!!!!!!!!

One of the most heart warming stories  I have ever heard occured on Feb.23,2006.  It was shown on the CBS news. A kid in a New York high school was the manger of the basketball team, a big cheerleader for his team. He had a medical condition, he was autisic. The last game of the season the coach let the kid dress out for the game as a reward for his work as manager. With about four minutes to play the coach told the kid to go into the game. This was the first time he had ever played on the team. As he ran onto the court the fans went wild seeing this kid getting to play. His first shot was an airball, his second shot was a miss from up close. Prehaps the story would end here, but wait------ His next shot is a three pointer, the crowd goes WILD!!!!!! He's not done yet, another shot , his second three. The kid would hit a total of six three pointers and one two pointer in a space of about four minutes a total of 20 points for the game. At the end of the game he's mobbed by the students and fans. His reply being interviewed was: I WAS HOT AS A PISTOL!!!!! He became a hero to everybody in the USA, He was invited to the White House to meet President Bush. This story always brings chill bumps down by back as I reflect back on it. Never give up on your dreams. Oh yes, Hollywood will make a movie about this story. Regards all!!!
